It's all about me

Dear friends,

Today I was reflecting on what I love most about my business. 

When I began almost 10 years ago, I knew nothing about how to build and run a retail store. I only knew that I saw what it could be. And truth be told, this place held great affinity for me.

In my early 20's, I would longingly admire it from afar, too afraid to enter knowing I could never afford anything in the shop. I was intimidated by its very aura. 

As my career grew, the importance of wearing statement shoes mattered to me, and so my shoe collection grew exponentially, with every promotion.

There is nothing like the stride of a woman who can rock a pair of heels with confidence . . .  and to this day, when I put on a pair of amazing shoes, I know that I can literally accomplish anything. 

Over the past 9.5 years, this little downtown shop has been my labour of love. And through each of her reinventions along the way, I would discover a new aspect of her potential that I could not have imagined in the beginning.

While the sign on the window says ZÖE, which means "Life", it may as well say LYNN because we are one in the same.  She exists for one reason:  for me, and my closest friends all over the world who have been a part of our story.
