The Power of Space

Lynn Armstrong

Who we see is rarely who we are. We are complex. We are storied.  We are wounded. We are healed. We are works in progress. We are works of art.

In 2011 life as I thought I knew it changed. I was devastated. But I had no choice but to understand why this single event impacted me the way it did. And I started to work “in” myself.  I realized that over time, I had been letting life live me, rather than by living my life.

Life gives us signs. And when we ignore them, they become louder. Our health is affected. Our bodies are compromised. Our soul suffers.

The truth is we are all guessing in this life, and if we are fortunate, we can hear the voice inside of us that guides us.

For me, accessing that voice and awareness requires space and distance from the noise of life.  And so my yoga practice as both a student and a teacher has helped me access that awareness.

When you find your teacher, you find your yoga.  After teaching in gyms and community centres since 2011, I am excited to be opening my own yoga studio to share what I have learned both as a student and teacher of yoga.
