Dear Universe,
It's come to this. Speaking to the universe in the hopes that manifestation is an actual thing.
This summer I took some time to rethink my business by stepping away from day to day activities, like thinking about what I could do or say in social media to inspire engagement.
And if anything has been proven over the past 4 years, no amount of dancing on Instagram will close the gap that is needed to recover.
So here I am, talking to the universe.
I've been thinking that the last 4 years are surreal. Like - how did we end up here? COVID pushed us online, and then somehow we forgot to leave, to engage in the real world. I understand that. The way we work has changed. Many of us still work from home.
Some people say you can never go back. I agree. Going back isn't an option. But going forward in a better way is. In fact, it's not only an option. It's a necessity. Being brave in finding a new pathway is a necessity. Not just following . . . is a necessity. In fact, it's never been a more important time to take a risk.
So, after 4 years of living online, with my online store being my main contact with the outer world, I have decided that it's time to challenge that. To challenge online living. To challenge being led by the algorith. To challenge the status quo.
This summer I thought I needed to close my business. I thought it was the only way to end the pain of what it's become. I never wanted a business that was online. I have always enjoyed meeting the people. Some of my best friends are people who walked into my door one day.
A wise person recently said to me - do what you love, and do nothing more or less. I love meeting people, and being able to offer a soulful experience for them. I love when I see a woman try on a pair of shoes, and she lights up. I love seeing a woman walk out of the dressing room knowing she's absolutely killing it. That glow that we have when we feel good never gets old. It's is worth it all to me.
We can't go back, maybe. But we can go forward, and we can be better.
So I'm making some changes to find my way back to the business that I loved, before the pandemic.
Sincerely,
Lynn
